June 28th, Saturday: Arrive in Srinagar by 12 PM, where we gather at a common meeting point and set off towards Sonamarg. Enjoy the scenic mountain drive as you get to know your fellow travelers. Evening, reach Sonamarg, freshen up, and take a walk to soak it all in. O/N Sonamarg
June 29th, Sunday (8-9kms): Feel that crisp mountain air on your smiling cheeks this morning! Reason for that gorgeous smile? Heh, we begin our trek towards the Nichnai campsite! Prepare for a significant ascent, but the views make every step meaningful. We’ll climb higher and reach Table Top, a stunning plateau where a quaint little dhaba awaits. After all our effort a chai break sounds good, no? 😉 Hereon, the trail eases into gentle slopes and gradual ascents. Evening, arrive at Nichnai enveloped by towering peaks. O/N Nichnai campsite
June 30th, Monday (9 – 10kms): Take a nice long stretch and let’s start our gradual ascent towards Nichnai Pass (4,100m)—the first major pass of our trek! As we climb higher, the views open up to reveal some spellbinding landscapes, and we might catch a glimpse of Mt. Kun! This day’s extra special as we’ll be witnessing our first two alpine lakes! The exhilaration from reaching such sights through your own grit and determination is unparalled, so pat yourself on the back. Share that feeling with your fellow trekkers as we reach the campsite by evening. O/N Vishansar campsite
July 1st, Tuesday (13 – 14kms): We set out from Vishansar on a trail that takes us through some of the most beautiful sceneries of this trek. Guess how many lakes we’re seeing today? Not one, not two but FIVE alpine lakes! Colours of blue and green merge into one another while the mountains stand guarding them, each lake is truly more stunning than the last. The climb towards Gadsar Pass is challenging, but let the lakes remind you why you’re here! Lunch with a view? At Gadsar Lake, yesss. Catch your breath and let the moment sync in. O/N Gadsar campsite
July 2nd, Wednesday (8-9kms): Today is a breather—a shorter trek but one that comes with a little surprise (we won’t spill the secret just yet 😉). The trail is gentler, allowing you to admire the raw beauty of the mountains from up close. And the best part? We’ll be witnessing seven alpine lakes today! For that victorious feeling lunch shall be at the campsite itself, so, sit with your new friends, lay in the grass and well… just be <3. O/N Satsar Campsite
July 3rd, Thursday (7-8kms) : Brace yourself for the most challenging and adventurous day of the trek! As we leave the campsite, we navigate through a rugged boulder section, testing our agility and endurance. But the real highlight? Crossing Zach Pass at 4,085m! The climb is demanding, but the reward is beyond words. This is the day that pushes you, excites you, and fills you with a sense of accomplishment like no other. O/N Gangbal Campsite
July 4th, Friday (10kms): We reach the last leg of our incredible journey. Today, we descend from the mountains, leaving behind the raw beauty of the wilderness and stepping back into civilization. But before we part ways, let’s visit the ancient Naranag temple, dating back to the 7th century! A place of history and mystique. Last night together, so, let’s savour what we’ve just achieved by relishing a meal, exchanging anecdotes and laughs together! O/N Srinagar
