Meet Your Trip Leader: Niyati (aka Girlboss With a Backpack)

Some people collect fridge magnets. Some collect stamps on passports. Niyati? She collects stories, strangers, and slightly unhinged travel memories – and then turns them into unforgettable trips.

Meet Niyati Saxena (stalk here), founder of Migrant Musings & Co., full-time trip leader, writer, certified scuba diver, and someone who once slept on a café floor at -2°C and still woke up smiling. (Questionable life choices? Maybe. Legendary travel stories? Absolutely.)

From Courtrooms to Cliffs

Once, Niyati lived a neat, black-and-white life as a lawyer. Then she decided life needed more colour – and fewer files. So she changed courtrooms for campsites, deadlines for departures, and comfort zones for caves (sometimes very narrow ones… while kayaking… in Vietnam).

Fast forward 7+ years, and she has now led over 85 trips, met thousands of strangers who quickly turned into friends, and built a community where travel isn’t about ticking boxes – it’s about the experience.

The Kind of Leader You Want on Your Side

Niyati isn’t the “follow me” kind of trip leader. She’s the one:

  • Dancing on empty hill roads (that’s Niyati Saxena premium)
  • Sitting around bonfires having deep life chats at 2 AM
  • Trekking through forests
  • Creating safe, cozy, judgement-free spaces where everyone can be fully themselves

She believes the best trips happen when people feel seen, heard, and slightly out of their comfort zone (P.S. she might make you groove to the beats of bollywood).

Credentials, Because Yes – She’s Also a Total Boss

  • Founder of MM&Co.
  • 85+ trips led (and counting)
  • Certified Open Water PADI Diver
  • Guest panel speaker at The Lost Launchpad (2024)
  • Women Entrepreneur of the Year (2023) – Atharva Foundation
  • Written for tourism boards across Spain, Queensland, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and brands like Cleartrip, GoStops, Klook, Niyo Global, and Resorts World Sentosa

Basically, she knows her stuff and how to make it fun.

Weird Food, Wilder Stories

    • Snails? Tried.

    • Octopus? Yep.

    • Rats and squirrels? Politely declined (thanks, Nagaland).

    • Her travel tales range from building roads with frozen rocks in Spiti to getting stuck in places you definitely don’t want to get stuck in – yet somehow always coming back with a grin and a great story.

Why Travel With Niyati?

Because trips with her aren’t just vacations. They’re about people, stories, and moments you’ll talk about years later.

If you’re looking for laughter, connection, and travel that actually changes you – welcome aboard.
